Know by Heart Game Review

“Know by heart …” is a game about accepting losing. The narrative, the music along with the simple gameplay and atmospheric mini-games work together to create the illusion of a brief return to early childhood, only to grow up and the sensation of time slipping through our fingers.

The tranquil Russian village lifestyle will allow gamers to take part in the rich history and culture of this village.

Misha is the central character. Misha is stuck in a monotonous job that is never ending. When one day, he’s shocked when his crush at school returns to the town. Misha finds hope in escaping from daily life in the first time since his teenage years. The story of an old group of friends from childhood getting together are interspersed into one brief but highly turbulent incident in town’s everyday living. They must travel down memories lanes to rekindle their friendship. However, their old memories and even the bonds that connect them turn into a risk.

Ayrat Zakirov, Ice-Pick Lodge’s CTO, manages this project that is a bit nostalgic. The events of the game be played out in the Russian province. After a long absence, Misha is set to meet his former friends from childhood. The two will share old memories, rediscover common ground, and rekindle their friendship. Unfortunately, their joyous reunion could soon get snuffed out by circumstances that are outside of their ability to control.
