The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow

Thomasina Bateman, an antiquarian is currently writing a book on the history of barrows in England. It will document the treasures that she discovers in. A compelling letter inspires her to travel to the small village of Bewlay located in rural England. She sets out by train, along with her assistant one day later.
At the time of her arrival she discovers that the mysterious person who was supposed to summon her cannot be seen. Her assistant never arrives. The stubborn landowner denies acces to his barrow. People in the area fear her that travels by herself. wears trousers.
The digging of Hob’s Barrow is off to rough beginning. But then Thomasina starts having strange dreams…
